Jeff Love
Assistant Coach (QB, Receivers), Santa Margarita High School - California

Jeff Love graduated from Charlotte High School in 2001. From there he went to the University of Central Florida (2001-2006) where he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Social Science Education in 2006.

Love started his coaching career in 2011 as the secondary coach and recruiting coordinator at Occidental College in Los Angeles. The Occidental College Tigers led the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in turnovers created, interceptions, red zone interceptions and fumbles recovered. Prior to his stint at Occidental, Love was the video coordinator for three seasons at Kansas, where he first worked with Shealy. He also served as video coordinator at Nevada and held video assistant positions at Washington State and UCF.

In the summer of 2012 a familiar voice came calling. Love was hired as an assistant coach by the new head coach at Houston Baptist University, Vic Shealy (HiS Print Football Relationship Series 1). They reunited after being together and developing a relationship as assistant coaches at the University of Kanas. From 2013-2015 Love was the wide receivers’ coach and coordinated the Punt Return Unit. Upon the conclusion of the 2015 fall, Love was promoted to coach the quarterbacks.

The following year in 2016 Love was hired by the University of Kansas to be their Director of Football Technology. He handled all aspects of football video and research analysis for the Kansas Jayhawks. Love spent two seasons at the University of Kansas as director of football technology and later as quarterbacks’ coach. During his run, the Jayhawks scored their first win over TCU in 21 years and a 40-point output against Oklahoma with Jayhawks quarterbacks throwing just four interceptions in 2018.

In March of 2019, Love was hired as the Assistant Head Football Coach at Santa Margarita High School in Southern California.

This fall (2020) he will be the head coach at Oasis High School in Cape Coral, Florida. He is excited about finally being a head coach! "Winning football games is going to be an essential objective for our program; however, our main job as educators will be to help develop and steer these young men through their academic and football careers, hopefully giving each of them the opportunity to get recruited to a university and play at the next level if they wish," Love said.
